Tourists attractions, Berchtesgaden's Beautiful Sights :
The Berchtesgadener Land, as it is termed today, boasts some of the
most stunning mountain panoramas in the German Alps and is famed for its
National Parkin the heart of which lies “the king’s lake”: Königssee.
But what makes the Berchtesgaden area so different from other mountain
resorts is that, apart from the natural beauty it possesses, it offers
visitors an overwhelming variety of historic sights to visit and fun
things to do.
Boattrip to Lake Königssee
is almost synonymous with Berchtesgaden.
The king's lake in the heart of Berchtesgaden's Alpine
National Park was indeed used by the kings of Bavaria when they spent their
holidays at Berchtesgaden's royal palace, formerly a monastery.
Electric-powered boats silently glide as many as 500 000 passengers a year
over Germany's deepest and cleanest lake to the ancient Augustine chapel
of St. Bartholomew.
The old Salt Mines offer fun and excitement under the
mountain with their train ride, wooden slides, educational film, raft
crossing and funicular ride.
